吳穎怡 NG, Wing Yi

We live in a fast-paced world. We are rushing through life, attempting to hurry things along and get things accomplished. But, there are always more in the world than men could see, so the precious things are thought & sight but rather than the pace. Drawing takes time. The slowing down process of capturing reality provides me much more time to analyze the things that I draw. In drawing it, I can learn its form, shape, and natural rhythm. Most of the theme of my artworks are about animals. I always had a loving and caring for animals especially cats and dogs. Growing up as an only child, animals often felt like kindred spirits, especially on the days when I might felt more alone or bored. The center of my work is to capture those unique energies, beauties, and spirits of each individual I draw.
