Foreword: Dr Deane Hardwick, Head of School, School of Art and Culture

The School of Art and Culture, RMIT University is proud of the collaborative relationship that we have established with The Art School of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, enabling us to offer the first part-time studio based Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art degree programme to aspiring artists in Hong Kong.

I would like to express my thanks and congratulations to the many staff from Hong Kong and Australia, both academic and administrative, whose hard work and commitment has contributed to the success of our first graduates.

We are confident that our graduates will make a significant contribution to the ongoing cultural and artistic development of Hong Kong and further enhance its reputation as a centre for creative excellence. We wish to congratulate them on their achievements and the enthusiasm and passion with which they have undertaken their studies.

Foreword: Irving Koo, SBS, JP, Chairman, The Art School Council, HKAC

It is my pleasure to witness the graduation of the first cohort of students of the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) programme run at The Art School, Hong Kong Arts Centre in collaboration with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. This programme offers a chance for students to explore their potential in the world of the arts. In the past three years, their artistic skills were polished, their creative mind enlightened. This catalogue records their graduation projects and well-earned accomplishment after many hard days of work. May I wish them every success in the boundless world of the arts.

Foreword: Susanna Lee, Director, The Art School, HKAC

I am so delighted to see this catalogue published. After the past three year’s hard work, today, the students of the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) programme proudly present their works to us. I am proud of of them too. They will be the ones who give re-engineering power to the materialistic world. They show us the beauty of the world, and the beauty is found in this booklet.
